Almost Time

Well, we are about 4 weeks from delivery of our first child. I am getting really excited and uncomfortable, the belly is getting big & baby moves all the time (that's a good thing though). I know Jerry is also getting pretty excited, he is always touching or rubbing the belly. This past week we have been trying to finish the babies room and part of the kitchen. I do still need to sew up the curtains and bedding for the babies room, plus finish stenciling the walls. Then we'll be ready!

Yes, 1/2 my kitchen is done (I do need to do a bit of touch up painting), but it is all back together and usable. This weekend we are picking out the new dishwasher and Jerry is going to get that done before the baby is here. I told him we can work on the rest as we have time before the baby arrives and after.

Christmas Present...

It' s Christmas morning and we're opening our presents to each other before we head over to my in-laws. I got Jerry the coffee he has been raving about for months & a grinder (that will look good in my "new" kitchen), plus a few other small things. His BIG gift is already at Chuck & Linda's.

When it's my turn to open things he starts to get a bit nervous (I'm not sure why, at the time). I open a box with a faucet in it & then two smaller boxes with sink drains. I'm thinking I'm getting a new sink for Christmas (part of me is thrilled as I HATE my current kitchen sink & part of me is thinking, okay this is TOO practical) BUT then I open the last box, it is a new kitchen sink. Jerry tells me I also will get to pick out a new dishwasher ( the portable one we have I really can't use in our kitchen due to the layout). He then tells me that to help make my life easier when the baby gets here we're going to do a major face lift to the kitchen. NOW I'm thrilled with my gifts as they make a lot more sense.

We have been frantically working on the east wall and it is almost complete. I love it so far as we have made it much more user friendly. I really can't wait for the dish washer and new sink on the other wall, but I know it's going to take a little while to get all that complete.

Just pics

I was also thinking it would be more fun for those of you that read/view this to know who our family and friends were. And could really see what our lives are like so I'm adding just some pics.

Jerry showing Linda & Chuck (mom & dad), Grandma & Bert some interesting things on line.

Little cousin Kyle enjoying birthday cake at Bert's 80th celebration last year.

Friends April & Donny, Niece Chyna, Rob & Christie (sister-n-law & her boyfriend) getting ready to go Chicago at the Hult Center.

Friends Jeremy & Robin with us in Salt Lake City, UT.

Crazy Pets

Today Jerry & I were IMing all day while at work. When we got home tonight he said "You know we need to let everyone know about our crazy pets." I told him I was thinking about that myself....so here they are.

Chili- the dog. He's BIG, black, and not very smart (unless food is involved). When Jerry & I started dating he said he had a big dog, but he was pretty friendly. That's an understatement! He LOVES people, that he knows. I happen to still be his favorite (I think it's because I feed him in the AM), although my brother-n-law Larry is a very close second (he doesn't see Larry everyday anymore). Actually he's a great dog so we're going to keep him for now. LOL

The Girls-Peaches & Mocha. My cats...well there's not much to really say about them except Peaches rules the house (including Chili). And she knows how to earn her keep, she keeps the house/yard free of rodents. Mocha on the other hand is about as worthless as a cat comes, is afraid of EVERYTHING. She would rather sleep 22 hours a day (in the house) than do anything normal cats do. I can say if you are sick or just need love she's the one to give it to you unconditionally.

Stay tuned for the crazy things they'll do this spring.

Our First Dance

This was our first dance now we try to dance when ever the mood strikes us. It was the prefect day; sunny, relaxed, family & friends, great food, and becoming a unit of one.

First Entry!

Hello Blog World!

This is our first entry. We will use this web-blog to write about our lives together. We live in Junction City, Oregon and have been married for 1 1/2 years and are expecting our first child in March, as you can see. It has been a beautiful romance. Times are good and we will have it all when the little one gets here.

We hope that you enjoy this blog as we are learning how to do this. We will post photos and write about things happening in our lives.

Stay tuned!
